Boursin Garlic and Herb
Boursin garlic and herb cheese is an excellent choice for a baby-led weaning boursin tomato pasta dish due to its creamy texture and rich flavour, making it easy for little ones to enjoy.
The blend of garlic and herbs adds a delightful taste without being overwhelming, perfect for introducing new flavours to your baby's palate. When mixed with pasta, it creates a smooth sauce that coats the pasta well, allowing babies to easily grasp and self-feed.
Boursin contains no artificial preservatives, making it a wholesome option for families looking to provide nutritious and delicious meals to their little ones.
When Can Babies Eat Pasta
Babies can typically start enjoying pasta as part of their baby-led weaning journey around 6 to 8 months of age, depending on their individual readiness for solids. At this stage, babies are usually able to sit up independently and show interest in food.
When introducing pasta, it's important to choose small shapes, like spiral or shell pasta, or cut larger pieces into manageable bites to prevent choking.
Soft-cooked pasta is ideal, as it is easy for little hands to grasp and chew.
Always remember to supervise your baby during meals and ensure the pasta is served with suitable sauces or ingredients, keeping allergens in mind.
This is an easy weeknight dinner to cook for the whole family, perfect for that busy weeknight. Who doesn’t love easy dinners?
Ingredient information
Boursin - This is a great cream cheese that is great to add flavour and texture to a dish. The creamy Boursin pasta works so well within this recipe.
Onion - I have added an onion for flavour, but you could leave this ingredient out if you prefer.
Garlic - You could use garlic powde, garlic granules or garlic paste instead if you like. Or if like me have used a garlic and herb cheese, you could leave the fresh garlic out.
Courgette - Courgette when cooked is a great ingredient for baby led weaning.
Red pepper - The flavour of the red pepper really compliments the cream cheese and the pasta. You could use a red or green pepper instead if you like.
Oregano - If you prefer you could use mixed herbs or Italian seasoning instead of the oregano. You could add a few chilli flakes too after you have served this to your baby, if the adults need a little kick.
Cherry tomatoes - I have used fresh tomatoes, if you did not have fresh you could use a tin of chopped tomatoes or tinned cherry tomatoes.
Olive oil - I have used extra virgin olive oil, you could use avocado oil or coconut oil instead.
Fresh basil - I have used a little fresh basil at the end of this recipe, adds a dash of flavour that is so tasty.
Pasta - You can use a pasta shape or spaghetti of your choice such as orzo, linguine or fuselli.

Storage instructions
The pasta sauce can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days, stored in an airtight container, or you could use a container with plastic wrap to cover the pasta.
If you wanted to freeze the pasta, you will need to store in an airtight container.
Make sure the pasta has cooled to room temperature before transferring to an airtight container to the freezer.
To defrost the pasta leave in the fridge overnight, and make sure it has fully defrosted.
To reheat the easy pasta recipe, transfer to a preheated oven on 180C or 350F and reheat on a medium-high heat.
Once the pasta has been defrosted and reheated you will not be able to re-freeze.
Equipment used to help with this recipe
Saucepan - So many pan sets out there but I particularly like to use pans with a non-stick surface for ease of cleaning and ones that are suitable for different types of hob surface.
Airtight container - I much prefer the click-shut lids on these containers compared to others. They are also dishwasher and freezer safe and BPA free, so very suitable for food use.
Baking tray - I have chosen to use a non-stick and BPA free baking sheet - they are easy to clean and, if you buy more than one, easily stackable and easily stored.
