    Who doesn’t like fries?!

It is so easy to grab the frozen french fries from the freezer, but these fries are so so simple to make and so much healthier than the fries from the freezer.

First of all there is no added salt to these fries, and while this may not be for everyone, it is so important to keep track how much salt we are giving our little ones.

With this recipe you honestly do not even notice that there is no salt added to them! The garlic seasons the fries perfectly, added to that they are crispy and fluffy on the inside.

It may sound daunting and a lot of work making your own fries from scratch, but as you can see all you need is a potato, olive oil and garlic granules. So simple yet so delicious.

If you wanted to try and home-make something you will have to give these a try. Simple, yet delicious!

    Ingredient information

Baked potato - I have used a baked potato for this as I feel they bake better and the size of the potatoes were large which work really well for the fries.

Olive oil - I have used olive oil as you do not need that much and it is better to cook with olive oil than sunflower oil for example.

Garlic granules - I have used garlic granules but you don’t have to use them and just keep this as a 2 ingredient recipe with the potato and olive oil.

    Serving suggestion

You could serve these fries as a side with so many different mains. For example, homemade fish fingers, pulled chicken, baked aubergine or even a homemade vegan or meat burger.

    Storage instructions

The fries are better eaten straight away, if you did want to eat them the next day you could, but they are better eaten cold, if stored in an airtight container. I would highly suggest eating the fries straight away though. The recipe allows for not too many leftovers.

If you wanted to add in anymore flavourings you absolutely could. For example, some paprika, mixed herbs and lemon juice or even some grated parmesan or cheddar cheese! Delicious!
